Add Product Videos in WooCommerce – Quick & Easy Guide
Most shoppers today prefer watching a video of a product or service before making a purchase. Videos help customers understand the product better and ensure it’s exactly what they’re looking for.
However, even though WooCommerce is a powerful eCommerce platform, it doesn’t offer a built-in option to add product videos on the product page.
By default, WooCommerce allows you to add multiple images alongside the main product image. These appear as a thumbnail gallery on the single product page, which is helpful for showcasing different angles or features of the product. But wouldn’t it be even better if you could include videos in that gallery?
Unfortunately, WooCommerce doesn’t support this natively—but the good news is, you can easily add this functionality using a plugin.
Step 1: Install the Plugin
To enable video support in your product gallery:
- Go to Plugins > Add New from your WordPress dashboard.
- Search for Product Video Gallery for WooCommerce.
- Look for the plugin developed by NikHiL Gadhiya, then click Install and Activate.
No complicated setup is required—the plugin works out of the box.
Step 2: Add a Video to a Product
To add a video:
- Open any product in Edit mode.
- Scroll down to find the section titled Product Video URL.
- Paste the video link (e.g., YouTube URL) into the input field provided.
- Click Update to save your changes.
Now, when you view the product on the front end, you’ll see the video appear as part of the thumbnail gallery—just like the product images.
